The whole world is changing. Just as there was world changing colonization and the first industrial revolution in the 1800's, we are witnessing today unprecedented global change from the convergence of several developments.

One such development is the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This industrial revolution involves Artificial Intelligence (AI), Batteries for electricity storage, Solar Power, Drones, Robotics, Micro-satellites at scale.

Punjab is not tied to current system and dont have legacy systems to maintain or protect. Punjab is ready to embrace the possibilities this new Industrial Revolution brings in South Asia.

However, this is only possible if the government they exist under does not penalize them for trying to decouple from the outdated and toxic current system.

An example is the use of Solar Power. Punjab - the land of the Sikhs - has abundant sunshine throughout the year. Punjab has no naturally occuring coal or natural gas or petroleum. Punjab is keen to adopt Solar Power. However, it is discouraged as government and it's chosen oligarchs own the supply chain that transports coal for thermal power generation who have no incentive to participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The result is failure of adoption of Solar Power. People do not get the fruits of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. South Asia remains a low achievement region. Those who highlight this are viciously attacked, harassed and imprisoned.

They are known to be open to exploring and adopting new technologies. Novelty does not scare the Sikhs. They do not have neophobia (fear of new things). They are not Luddities. Quiet the opposite, Sikhs are among the first to adopt new ideas and things.

This comes from their history where they had to fight armies much larger than them by adopting new ideas, techniques, and tools.
